Actually, Linda, Shih Tzus made the list at #8. As you mentioned, they're great for people with allergies, in addition to being loving companions. Thanks for telling us more about Bella. She sounds like a great dog.
-- Contributed by: LorieI have a 9 1/2 year old Shih-Tzu. I have had a dog all my life and I have NEVER had a dog like Bella. She is a Pet Therapy dog and works at our local hospital. She is the the most gentle, kind, friendly, etc, etc, etc, dog. She loves children, people and is very protective of them. She is so smart, it is scary. The only negative I can come up with, is they are stubborn. I do not know why they are not on the 10 most popular list of dogs,I never have. They are hyper-allergenic, easy to care for if you keep them groomed, which is not hard to do. They have adorable faces, no inbred problems that we have faced. Their history is very interesting. I could go on and on. They are wonderful friends. Why are they not on the list?????????????
