It can be difficult to be a bit too old for clothes from the kids' department but not quite old enough to shop in the juniors' section. Although it's a juniors store, Deb might be a good choice, especially in the fall and spring when they stock dresses for homecoming and prom. They are available in most malls and offer a wide selection of dress styles at generally affordable prices, especially if you shop slightly off-season for sales and clearance. LoveToKnow Teens has an article on Deb prom dresses if you'd like to know more. Gap Kids might be another possibility. When I search online for tween dresses, a lot of stores that focus on dresses for your age group are small boutiques, so you might just have to look around for unique shops.
-- Contributed by: LorieI'm 11 years old and 54kg. I cant find a nice party dress or bridesmade dress for my age.I was wondering where could I order from.
-- Contributed by: hazal yagcıThe one store that seems to sell jeans in size 000 is Bui-Yah-Kah. Unfortunately, they only have stores in Texas. If you don't live in the area, you may be able to ask your parents to look on online auction sites for secondhand sellers.
-- Contributed by: LorieI would like to know. I am a very skinny girl and i am 16 years old. I have a problem finding jeans. I found out that they just came out with size triple 0 jeans. I was wondering where could i find triple 0 jeans?
-- Contributed by: Onna BlantonThanks for the suggestion, Sam. From the comments we've received, Aeropostale seems like a very popular choice.
-- Contributed by: Loriewhy isn't aeropostale on this list its a very popular brand and the prices are pretty cheep compared to all the other stores
-- Contributed by: samFor the purpose of this list, "best" is partly interpreted as "most popular". But that doesn't mean you have to follow the crowd. There's nothing wrong with shopping at Walmart or Kmart, and they can actually be a good place to save money on trendy styles that you won't want to wear next year.
-- Contributed by: LorieI for one, think it is upsetting that tween's and teen's have to go to expensive clothing stores to be cool. What is wrong with walmart or K-Mart? I am 12 years old, and shop at these sorts of stores rarely.
-- Contributed by: JulieHot Topic was put in the #2 spot because it has more of a niche appeal, but it's still a popular destination. If you like Hot Topic, you might like LoveToKnow Teen's articles on punk clothing and gothic clothing.
-- Contributed by: Loriei totally think hot topic should be #1!!!!!!
-- Contributed by: JulieThanks for adding to the list, Sandra. You're not the first person to suggest Forever 21, so it looks like a popular choice for teens.
-- Contributed by: LorieUh? ...i think FOREVER21 should be ther!!
-- Contributed by: sandraI LOVE THE STORES DEBS, SPENCERS AND JOURNEYS
-- Contributed by: JeanineThanks for the suggestion, Sio. Forever 21 stocks a lot of trendy styles and is available in many malls.
-- Contributed by: Loriewhat about forever 21?!?
-- Contributed by: SioThanks for adding to the list, Morgan. All of you fashion fans might enjoy reading about trendy teen clothing and other topics at LoveToKnow Teens.
-- Contributed by: LorieHOLLISTER and AE(also Arie lol)
-- Contributed by: MorganAnd we have another vote for Hollister. It looks like it's definitely one of the top places to go for teen fashion.
-- Contributed by: Loriehollister :)
-- Contributed by: EliseThanks for sharing your opinion, Katie. It looks like Hollister is still a popular choice for teen shopping.
-- Contributed by: LorieI love Hollister!!!!
-- Contributed by: Katiethis has been a very nice teen store
-- Contributed by: shaquille allwoodThanks for adding your suggestions to the list, Blake and Kaiti.
-- Contributed by: LorieAn amazing teen store is Pink Ice. It's my favorite place. :D
-- Contributed by: Kaitii luv abercrombie and old navy but the best ones to me are hollister and aero!
-- Contributed by: blake crockettBringing up Hollister California makes a good point, Leslie. The most popular brands can vary depending on where you live. But it's always good to get feedback on what's hot right now in teen fashion.
-- Contributed by: LorieI thought the list was actually rather good in reference to those of you bashing Gap and Old Navy. I know plenty of popular and beautiful girls that shop there. If some of you enjoy things like 'Abercrombie and ...' thats your choice, but might I add, it sucks. One more thing, Hollister is an overated label with over priced clothing and its title is "Hollister California"...They don't sell Hollister in Cali, most Calis dont even know the what Hollister is. Stick that in your juice box and suck it.
-- Contributed by: LeslieThanks for the feedback, Destiny and Kristen! It's always good to hear from teens exactly which stores they prefer.
-- Contributed by: LorieSeriously No one does shop at Old Navy and Gap. And what about WETSEAL?! Wetseal is like the most awsumest teen store for clothes.
-- Contributed by: Destinyhonestly, no one shops at gap or old navy
-- Contributed by: KristenThanks for the suggestions, Arielle. Those sound like some good stores to check out.
-- Contributed by: Lorieum, what about FOREVER 21? super inexpensive, and a ton of people shop there. or maybe its sister store, HERITAGE 1981? its all boho hippie clothing, which is really in this season.
-- Contributed by: arielleThanks for adding to the list, Jay. Those sound like good suggestions for trendy teen clothing.
-- Contributed by: Loriehmmm what about rue 21, wet seal, and 579 those are really cute stores!!!
-- Contributed by: jayI Like American Eagle & Aeropostale to......
-- Contributed by: MikeThanks for the suggestion, Gianna. Although Pink Ice retail stores only appear to be located in California, you can check out their selection at www.pinkicestore.com.
-- Contributed by: Lorieummm...............hellooooooooooooooooooooooo?!!!!! What about pinkice-its my fave store evr!
-- Contributed by: GiannaThanks for the suggestion, Christian. Hollister has been mentioned by other commenters, so it seems to be a popular choice.
-- Contributed by: Lorietotally forgot hollister, should of been after abercrombie
-- Contributed by: christianThanks for the suggestions, HRU. What's hot in teen clothing is always changing, and can vary depending on where you live, so it's good to get new perspectives.
-- Contributed by: LorieHmmmmmmm aren't there better teen clothing Stores Guess, nordstrom, metropark, Euromoda are all good stores I am surprised none of them are on this list... o well XD
-- Contributed by: HRUThanks for the comment, Norma. Keeping on top of fashion can definitely get expensive. Do you have any outlet malls nearby or stores like T.J.Maxx where you can find namebrand clothing at discounted prices? I don't know if they will always carry Baby Phat, but it's worth a try. If your parents are willing to order clothes online for you, there also seem to be some coupon codes you can search for to help you save.
-- Contributed by: LorieHello mty name is Norma!!!! I love fashion, but the only prblem is that you need money in order to havev all the clothing you want!!! Lke baby phat.....men that 's expencive!!!! You shure need money for that!!!! I love baby phat!!!
-- Contributed by: NormaThanks for the suggestions, Ellie. You're the second person to mention Hollister and the third person to mention Aeropostale, so it looks like they're popular names in teen clothing. The list is just a starting point, and it's discussion like this that can help expand our options.
-- Contributed by: LorieWow, I'm like super surprised Hollister isn't on here it has some of the cutest clothes ever and is the one and only 'in' store where I live. Aeropastle should be added to, the have nice stuff for low preices. :)
-- Contributed by: EllieThanks for the feedback and the suggestions, Jasmine. It's unfortunate when companies act that way, and it certainly is something to consider before shopping there.
-- Contributed by: LorieAbercrombie? Abercrombie has a history of picking employees by their looks, and sold humor tees with racist and sexist comments, meant as a joke. They got sued and took out those clothes. I haven't heard of the other stores except Gap, Old Navy, and PacSun, but they look interesting... Thanks and... What about aeropostale, stitches, boathouse? Those are good stores (IMO).
-- Contributed by: jasmineThanks for the suggestions, Leah. Trends are always changing, so it's good to hear what's currently popular.
-- Contributed by: LorieHello!!?? what about hollister? and aeroposatle?? or american eagle? serouisly gap and old navy none of the hawt popular girls shop there -for i am one-
