For some coffee fans, there is no such thing as a best instant coffee. However, sometimes instant coffee may be all that there's time for as you're running out the door. Who has time for the line at the local coffee shop or brewing a whole pot of coffee from fresh beans every morning? Sometimes keeping a jar or packets of the best instant coffee around the house may come in handy for days when you wake up late, can't get moving once you've gotten out of bed, or weeks when you've forgotten to go pick up your regular batch of coffee beans. The best instant coffee is rich in flavor and dissolves easily.

3. Starbucks VIA
Starbucks VIA comes in a few different roasts like Italian and Colombia, and even in flavors like mocha, caramel, cinnamon, and vanilla. It dissolves effortlessly in hot water and tastes almost as good as freshly brewed coffee. In addition, it's easy to travel with because it comes in a small single cup pouch rather than a large jar. It doesn't taste watered down when a whole packet is added to eight ounces of water, and it smells like regular coffee. The only downside is that it's about $1.00 per cup compared to roughly half that for other brands. Viewpoints.com gives it 4.08 of 5.00 stars.
4. Nescafe Taster's Choice

6. Maxwell House Rich
SlashFood.com also rated this one as worthy of a sip rather than a skip. Testers did acknowledge that it's slightly watery and not the best coffee ever, but state that it gets the job done in a pinch.
