When John Keats wrote, "Season of mists and mellow fruitfulness," he may not have been talking about fall sangria. But when it comes to poetry, just about any interpretation can be valid. And isn't a crisp and juicy fall sangria one of the best parts about those cool, breezy autumn days? Our interpretation is yes. And these recipes are our autumn poems.
Ingredients
- 3 ounces cabernet
- 3 ounces pomegranate juice
- ¾ ounce apple cider
- ½ ounce apple brandy
- ½ ounce pear brandy
- Ice
- Cranberries, cinnamon stick, and orange slice for garnish
Instructions
- In a cocktail shaker, add ice, wine, pomegranate juice, apple cider, apple brandy, and pear brandy.
- Shake to chill.
- Strain into cocktail glass over fresh ice.
- Garnish with cranberries, a cinnamon stick, and an orange slice.
