A widespread celebration in the United States, even more so than in Mexico, raise a mocktail to Mexico's victory against the French Empire back in 1862. Grab a mocktail, with or without nonalcoholic tequila, and toast to a commemorative day in global history.
Ingredients
- 2 ounces nonalcoholic tequila
- 1½ ounces freshly squeezed grapefruit juice
- ¾ ounce freshly squeezed lime juice
- Ice
- Grapefruit soda to top off
- Grapefruit slice and rosemary sprig for garnish
Instructions
- In a rocks or highball glass, add ice, nonalcoholic tequila, lime juice, and grapefruit juice.
- Top off with grapefruit soda.
- Stir briefly to mix.
- Garnish with a grapefruit slice and rosemary sprig.
Ingredients
- Salt and lime wedge for rim
- 1-3 fresh basil leaves
- 2 ounces nonalcoholic tequila, optional
- 1 ounce freshly squeezed lime juice
- ¾ ounce strawberry simple syrup
- ¾ ounce nonalcoholic orange liqueur OR 2-3 dashes orange bitters
- ½ ounce agave syrup
- Ice

Instructions
- To prepare rim, rub the rim of the glass with the lime wedge.
- With the salt on a saucer, dip either half or the entire rim of the glass in the salt to coat.
- In a cocktail shaker, add ice, basil, nonalcoholic tequila, strawberry simple syrup, nonalcoholic orange liqueur, and agave syrup.
- Shake to chill.
- Strain into the prepared glass.
- Garnish with a basil sprig and lime wheel.

- Add ice and limeade.

- 2 ounces freshly squeezed orange juice

- ¾ ounce grenadine

- In a highball or hurricane glass, add ice, pineapple juice, orange juice, and if desired, nonalcoholic tequila.
- Stir well to mix.
- Slowly pour in grenadine down the inside of the glass, allowing it to sink. Do not stir.
