When it comes to Caribbean drinks, rum is frequently the spirit of choice. Distilled from sugarcane molasses, the very word conjures up images of tall ships, drunken pirates, and tropical islands.
Don't despair if you can't travel all the way to the Caribbean to enjoy a tasty rum or tropical cocktail. You can still make any of the following Caribbean drink recipes in the comfort of your own home. The bright flower shirt and socks and sandal combination are optional.

- In a rocks or highball glass, add ice, limes, and rum.
- Top off with cola.

- 2 ounces demerara rum OR aged rum
- 1 ounce freshly squeezed lime juice

- 2 dashes aromatic bitters

- In a highball or collins glass, muddle mint with simple syrup.
- Add ice, rum, lime juice, and bitters.
- Stir to mix.
- Fill the glass half way with crushed ice.
- Briefly stir with a swizzle stick or bar spoon.

- Garnish with two dashes of aromatic bitters, do not stir.
